Panels, conferences, competitions, B to B are among other activities that marked the four days of the works and which has seen the participation of world leaders in the field of agriculture.

Significant resolutions have being made to have a lasting impact on African agriculture and make the sector attractive to young people, especially using digital technology.

The winners of the PitchAgriHack competiton were also known on this last day of the forum. These talented young digital entrepreneurs have come up with innovative solutions to boost the agriculture and livestock sector.

Curtains closed Friday in Accra on the 9th Forum for the Green Revolution in Africa (AGRF) and Kigali (Rwanda) will take over the torch in 2020.

Following a competitive bidding process, the AGRF's group of partners unanimously announced that the Republic of Rwanda will host the 2020 AGRF and will be the long-term country of origin of the forum.

The AGRF has been held in eight different countries over the past decade and will now adapt its approach. It will adopt a "round-trip" model in which the Forum will alternate between the organization of the event in Rwanda in even years and the different host countries of the continent two years at a time.

"We are honored to be the country of origin of AGRF and we are committed to working closely with our many partners in Africa and around the world to ensure the continued growth and influence of AGRF as a voice for children, farmers and agricultural enterprises in Africa", says Geraldine Mukeshimana, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources of Rwanda".
