"By the end of October or mid-November, there may still be rain and vigilance must remain in place," warned Mr. Latifou inviting people to extreme vigilance. Already, the torrential rains that have fallen on southern Togo since the beginning of September have reached a record level (+ 92mm).
Floods are found in Lome and in the peripheral regions, with no effect on the producers. In the rice-growing basins, for example, it is the overflow.
The meteorological services of Togo reassure the farmer that the weather reports alerting the arrival of the rains, will be available two hours before the rains via different platforms.
