"We will continue our efforts to get high quality results, conduct and promote consistency and a greater collaboration within the United Nations system for development," has concluded in June 2016, UNDP Administrator Helen Clark during a speech at the opening session of the Board of Directors of the program in New York.

And to succeed in this mission, UNDP is looking for appropriate and effective ways that could impact actually communities.

This is the main purpose of the new Strategic Plan launched in November 2017 by the program and defined for the 2018-2021 period in order to adapt it to the changing aspects and also to guide its activities for the 21st Century.

"The dramatic changes that we see around the world occur on a scale and at a speed such that our institutions are struggling to cope and require us to more", justifies Achim Steiner, Director of UNDP at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the program.

According to the administrator, the implementation of two new platforms at the country level and worldwide, whose terms are described in the plan, will allow the establishment of more effective support to the culmination to the largest three situations development: eradication of poverty, structural changes and building resilience.
