"The World Bank Group (WB) will soon review its cooperation strategy with Togo and align with the PND to have more impact".
This is a declaration by Ousmane Diagana, Vice President of the WB, in charge of Human Resources on Tuesday in Lome.
For him, the National Plan of Development (PND) of Togo is consistent and relevant.
"This is to ensure that Togo can be 100% beneficiary of the achievements, actions and initiatives that the World Bank Group is committed to achieve our dual objective of eliminating extreme poverty around the world and shared prosperity everywhere in the countries where we operate, "said Diagana.
The Regional Excellence Center of Avian Sciences (CERSA) housed at the University of Lome is one of the major projects financed by the group in Togo.
The Vice President, assisted by Hawa Wague Cisse, local representative of the WB, visited the center and promised that his institution would continue to support the government in intensifying its efforts in the field of food security, the fight against malnutrition, technical and professional training.
Togo wants to count on several partners among which private sector to contribute 65% to the achievement of the objectives of the PND.
