Presidents of States, members of ECOWAS, in their 53rd ordinary assembly held in Lome expressed their concerns about the decrease of Productions compared to 2017.
First of all, the have congratulated the emergency mobilisation of the whole region since their extraordinary assembly of April 14th still in Lome to provide food for the affected countries.
Then, they reminded to the beneficiaries to honour their engagement to restitute the stock mobilised for the continual of this instrument.
To finish, they have instructed the commission of ECOWAS to find food commodities for these countries.
They have also pointed out the economical growth of the region (3.2% in 2018 compared to 2.3% in 2017 and 0.2% in 2016).
They related this performance to the rise of world flow for raw materials (petroleum, minerals, cocoa, coton), the economical reforms and investments in the domain of infrastructures.
